(As for) those who spend their property by night and by day, secretly and openly, they shall have their reward from their Lord and they shall have no fear, nor shall they grieve. 274 THOSE who gorge themselves on usury behave but as he might behave whom Satan has confounded with his touch; for they say: "Buying and selling is but a kind of usury" - the while God has made buying and selling lawful and usury unlawful. Hence, whoever becomes aware of his Sustainer's admonition, and thereupon desists [from usury,] may keep his past gains, and it will be for God to judge him; but as for those who return to it - they are destined for the fire, therein to abide! 275 Allah does not bless usury, and He causes charitable deeds to prosper, and Allah does not love any ungrateful sinner. 276 Lo! those who believe and do good works and establish worship and pay the poor-due, their reward is with their Lord and there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve. 277 O believers, fear you God; and give up the usury that is outstanding, if you are believers. 278 But if you do (it) not, then be apprised of war from Allah and His Apostle; and if you repent, then you shall have your capital; neither shall you make (the debtor) suffer loss, nor shall you be made to suffer loss. 279 If the debtor is in a difficulty, grant him time Till it is easy for him to repay. But if ye remit it by way of charity, that is best for you if ye only knew. 280 Have fear of the day when you go back to God. Then each will be paid back in full his reward, and no one will be wronged. 281
