3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 When he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 When he was old enough to go about with him, he said: "O my son, I dreamt that I was sacrificing you. Consider, what you think?" He replied: "Father, do as you are commanded. If God pleases you will find me firm." 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!" Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
