Whatever of misfortune striketh you, it is what your right hands have earned. And He forgiveth much. 30 and you cannot elude Him on earth, and you will have none to protect you from God [in the life to come,] and none to bring you succour. 31 And among His signs are the ships that run on the sea like mountains and 32 If He wills, He causes the wind to cease, then they would become motionless on the back (of the sea). Verily, in this are signs for everyone patient and grateful. 33 Or He may destroy them because of that which they have earned, and He may pardon many of them. 34 Then those who wrangle about Our Signs will come to know that there is no escape for them. 35 Whatever you have received is just a means of enjoyment for this life but the reward of God for the believers and those who trust in their Lord will be better and everlasting. 36 (This reward will be for) those who keep away from major sins and indecency, who forgive when they are made angry, 37 those who answer their Lord, establish the prayers, and their affairs are by consultation; who spend of that which We have given them, 38 And those who, when an oppressive wrong is done to them, they take revenge. 39 The recompense for evil will be equivalent to the deed. He who pardons (the evil done to him) and reforms himself, will receive his reward from God. God certainly does not love the unjust. 40 And there is no way of reproach against those who take revenge after being wronged. 41 The way (to blame) is only against those who oppress men and revolt in the earth unjustly; these shall have a painful punishment. 42 And verily, whosoever shows patience and forgives that would truly be from the things recommended by Allah. 43
