The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The Compassionate. 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 He created man 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 [At His behest] the sun and the moon run their appointed courses; 5 The stars and the trees prostrate. 6 He raised the heavens and set up everything in balance, 7 That you may not be inordinate in respect of the measure. 8 And establish the measures justly, nor decrease the due weight. 9 And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures. 10 There exists all kinds of fruits, palm-trees with sheathed blossoms, 11 And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. 12 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man of a clay like the potter's, 14 and has created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He has set the two oceans in motion, converging together. 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 His are the ships with elevated sails upon the sea like mountains. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25
