Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 Therefore give them some respite – give them some time. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
