Then, when the Messengers (the angels) came unto the family of Lout (Lot). 61 he said, "You seem to be strangers". 62 They said: "Nay, we have come to you with that (torment) which they have been doubting. 63 We have come to thee with the truth, and assuredly we speak truly. 64 So set out with your family during a portion of the night and follow behind them and let not anyone among you look back and continue on to where you are commanded." 65 And We made known this decree to him, that the last remnants of those (sinners) should be cut off by the morning. 66 And the people of the city came [unto Lot,] rejoicing at the glad tiding. 67 Exclaimed [Lot]: "Behold, these are my guests: so put me not to shame, 68 "And fear Allah and disgrace me not." 69 They said, “Had we not forbidden you from meddling in the affairs of anyone?” 70 Lot said, "These are my daughters if you want them." 71 Verily, by your life (O Muhammad SAW), in their wild intoxication, they were wandering blindly. 72 So the shriek seized them at sunrise. 73 We turned the town upside down and rained upon them stones of clay. 74 Surely! In this are signs, for those who see (or understand or learn the lessons from the Signs of Allah). 75 And the (cities were) right on the high-road. 76 surely in that is a sign for believers. 77 AND THE DWELLERS of the wooded dales [of Madyan, too,] were inveterate evildoers, 78 On them, too, We took vengeance, and they are both on a clear roadway. 79
