[O MEN! Pay heed to God's messages,] for it is He who has endowed you with hearing, and sight, and minds: [yet] how seldom are you grateful! 78 It is He who scattered you in the earth, and to Him you shall be mustered. 79 And it is He Who gives life and causes death, and for Him are the alternations of night and day; so do you not have sense? 80 Nay, they say the like of what the ancients said: 81 They say: "Is it that when we are dead and have been reduced to dust and bones, shall we then be raised up again? 82 We and our fathers have been promised this before; this is naught but the fairy-tales of the ancients.' 83 Say, [O Muhammad], "To whom belongs the earth and whoever is in it, if you should know?" 84 They will say: "It is Allah's!" Say: "Will you not then remember?" 85 Say: "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) Supreme?" 86 They will say: Unto Allah (all that belongeth). Say: Will ye not then keep duty (unto Him)? 87 Say: "Whose is the sovereignty over all things, who protects, and against whom there is no protection? {Answer) if you have knowledge." 88 They will say: Unto Allah (all that belongeth). Say: How then are ye bewitched? 89 Nay, but We have brought them the Truth, and lo! they are liars. 90 God has not taken to Himself a son, nor is there any other deity besides Him; otherwise, each god would have walked away with what he had created. They would surely have tried to overcome one another. Glory be to God, above all that they ascribe to Him. 91 knowing all that is beyond the reach of a created being's perception as well as all that can be witnessed by a creature's senses or mind and hence, sublimely exalted is He above anything to which they may ascribe a share in His divinity! 92
