Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear God? 161 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 “What! Among all the creatures, you commit the immoral acts with men?” 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? No, but you are a transgressing nation' 166 They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” 167 He said: "I am, indeed, of those who disapprove with severe anger and fury your (this evil) action (of sodomy). 168 "O my Lord! deliver me and my family from such things as they do!" 169 So We saved him and all his people, 170 Except an old woman among those who remained behind. 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 Surely in this there is a sign: but most of them would not believe: 174 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 175
