And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 and caused a gourd tree to grow over him, 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 (And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinns, but the jinns know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be brought for accounts). 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 we are the rangers, 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 Yet now (that it has come) they refuse to believe in it; but they will come to know soon. 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 That they would be helped, 172 and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! 173 So turn away from them for a while. 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 Peace be upon the Messengers 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
