Say: 'I am only a warner. There is no god except Allah, the One, the Conqueror, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." 66 Say, "It (facts about the supremacy of God) is the greatest message, 67 [how can] you turn away from it?" 68 (Tell them): “I had no knowledge of the High Council when they were disputing. 69 I have only received revelation to give you plain warning. 70 When your Lord said to the angels: 'I am creating a human from clay, 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed My spirit into him, prostrate yourselves before him." 72 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 73 But not Iblis: he was proud and he was one of the unbelievers. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with Both My Hands. Are you too proud (to fall prostrate to Adam) or are you one of the high exalted?" 75 Satan replied, "I am better than him. You created me from fire, but You created him from clay." 76 "Begone! You are accursed: 77 and My curse shall remain upon you till the Day of Resurrection.” 78 Said [Iblis]: "Then, O my Sustainer, grant me a respite till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead!" 79 Answered He: "Verily, so [be it:] thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 80 "Till the Day of the Time Appointed." 81 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "By Your Might, then I will surely mislead them all, 82 except for those among them who are Your chosen servants." 83 [And God] said: "This, then, is the truth! And this truth do I state: 84 I will fill up Hell with you together with those who follow you." 85 Say: "I do not ask any compensation of you for it, nor am I a specious pretender. 86 It is nothing but a reminder to the nations; 87 You will come to know its truth in time." 88
