I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 As a warning unto men, 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Till death overtook us. 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 No indeed; each one of them desires that open letters be sent to each of them. 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
