Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Say: It has been revealed to me that a party of the jinn listened, and they said: Surely we have heard a wonderful Quran, 1 Guiding to the right way, so we believe in it, and we will not set up any one with our Lord: 2 He exalted be the Majesty of our Lord, who has neither taken to Himself a wife, nor a son! 3 'There were some foolish ones among us, who used to utter extravagant lies against Allah; 4 and we had thought that men and jinn would never speak against God a lie. 5 'True, there were persons among mankind who took shelter with persons among the Jinns, but they increased them in folly. 6 And indeed they imagined, even as ye imagined, that Allah will not raise any one. 7 And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames. 8 And we used to sit therein in positions for hearing, but whoever listens now will find a burning flame lying in wait for him. 9 and that “we do not know whether evil is intended for those on the earth, or whether their Lord intends to direct them to the Right Way”; 10 Some of us are righteous, but some are otherwise, we are sects that differ. 11 And we know that we cannot frustrate Allah in the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 And when we heard the guidance, we believed in it. And whoever believes in his Lord will not fear deprivation or burden. 13 Some of us have surrendered (Muslims) and some of us have deviated. Those who surrendered sought the Right Path, 14 And as for the Qasitun (disbelievers who deviated from the Right Path), they shall be firewood for Hell, 15 (And Allah's Message is): "If they (the Pagans) had (only) remained on the (right) Way, We should certainly have bestowed on them Rain in abundance. 16 That We may test them thereby, and whoso turneth away from the remembrance of his Lord; He will thrust him into ever-growing torment. 17 All places of worship are for God; so do not invoke any one with God. 18 when God's servant stood up to pray to Him, they pressed close to him in great numbers, almost stifling him. 19
