'Lord' said Moses, 'expand my chest, 25 And ease for me my task 26 And loose a knot from my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 “And appoint for me a viceroy from among my family.” 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 “Back me up with him.” 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may hallow Thee oft. 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 You are Well Aware of our situation." 35 He said, “O Moosa, you have been granted your prayer.” 36 We have again bestowed Our favour upon you. 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 Saying: Throw him into the ark, and throw it into the river, then the river shall throw it on to the bank, and there an enemy to Me and an enemy to him shall take him. And I endued thee with love from Me that thou mightest be trained according to My will, 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 Go thou and thy brother with My signs, and slacken not in remembrance of Mine. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has become insolent. 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 [Allah] said, "Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see. 46 "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance! 47 Surely it has been revealed to us that the chastisement will surely come upon him who rejects and turns back. 48 He asked: "Who then is that Lord of yours, O Moses?" 49 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]." 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 To eat and feed your cattle. Surely there are signs in these for those who are wise. 54
