۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities (to mobilise troops) 53 (Who said): Lo! these indeed are but a little troop, 54 “And indeed they have angered all of us.” 55 And verily we are host well-provided. 56 We therefore got them out from the gardens and water springs. 57 And from treasures and nice houses. 58 Thus it was: but [in the course of time] We were to bestow all these [things] as a heritage on the children of Israel. 59 The people of the Pharaoh pursued them at sunrise. 60 and when the groups came face to face, the companions of Moses cried out: "We are overtaken!" 61 Said Moosa, “Never! Indeed my Lord is with me, He will now show me the way.” 62 Then We revealed to Musa: Strike the sea with your staff. So it had cloven asunder, and each part was like a huge mound. 63 Then brought We near the others to that place. 64 We delivered Moses and all those who were with him, 65 then We drowned the others. 66 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 67 Indeed your Lord is mighty and merciful. 68
