THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
