(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
