Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 noble scribes 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
