The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 But it will be avoided by the wretched, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
