Moses said, "My Lord! open up my heart, 25 and ease my task for me, 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 and appoint for me, out of my kinsfolk, one who will help me to bear my burden: 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 By him confirm my strength 31 And associate him in my affair. 32 That we may sing Your praises much, 33 "And remember You much, 34 You are Well Aware of our situation." 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 "And indeed, We bestowed Our favour upon thee at a time long since past, 37 When We revealed to your mother what was revealed; 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 I have chosen thee for My service; 41 "Go, thou and thy brother, with My Signs, and slacken not, either of you, in keeping Me in remembrance. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 But speak unto him in a mild manner, so that he might bethink himself or [at least] be filled with apprehension. 44 They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." 45 He said: "Have no fear. I am with you, hearing and seeing all. 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 "'Verily it has been revealed to us that the Penalty (awaits) those who reject and turn away.'" 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave to everything its creation, then guided it (to its goal). 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54
