A crowd of earlier generations 39 And a multitude of those (on the Right Hand) will be from the later times (generations). 40 And those on the Left Hand Who will be those on the Left Hand? 41 In fierce hot wind and boiling water, 42 And the shade of black smoke, 43 Which is neither cool nor is for respect. 44 Before they lived at ease, 45 and persisted in the great sin 46 and they used to say, "What! After we have died and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up again? 47 And also our forefathers? 48 Say, "Indeed, the earlier ones and the later ones 49 shall be gathered to the appointed time of a known day. 50 Then verily ye, O ye erring, denying people. 51 Shall surely eat of the tree of Az-Zqqum. 52 "Then you will fill your bellies therewith, 53 Then drink over it of boiling water; 54 Drinkers even as the drinking of thirsty camels. 55 This shall be their hospitality on the Day of Doom. 56 We created you; therefore why will you not believe? 57 So what is your opinion regarding the semen you discharge? 58 Is it you that create it or are We the creators? 59 We have ordained death among you and We are not to be overcome, 60 In that We will change your likenesses and produce you in that [form] which you do not know. 61 You have surely known of the first creation. Why then, will you not remember! 62 Have you considered the soil you till? 63 Is it you or We Who make them grow? 64 Had We wanted, We could have crushed it to bits and you would have been left to lament, 65 Surely we are burdened with debt: 66 Rather, we have been prevented' 67 So what is your opinion regarding the water that you drink? 68 Did you send it down from the clouds, or did We send it? 69 Did We will, We would make it bitter; so why are you not thankful? 70 Have you thought about the fire you kindle? 71 Did you make its tree grow or was it We Who made it grow? 72 It is We who have made it a means to remind [you of Us,] and a comfort for all who are lost and hungry in the wilderness [of their lives]. 73 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 74
