The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). 6 a protection against every rebel satan; 7 They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side. 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 Yet while you are filled with wonder, they just scoff; 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic! 15 When we have become dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then verily be raised? 16 Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" 17 Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. 18 It will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e. the second blowing of the Trumpet)], and behold, they will be staring! 19 They will say, "Woe to us!" (They will be told), "This is the day of receiving recompense". 20 (It will be said): "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
