Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 excusing or warning, 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
