The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Alif Lam Mim 1 This is the Book; there is no doubt in it. It is a guide for those who are mindful of God, 2 Who believe in the unseen and establish the (daily) prayer; who spend out of what We have provided them. 3 And who believe in that which hath been sent down unto thee and that which hath been sent down before thee and of the Hereafter they are convinced. 4 They have found the guidance of their Lord and will be successful. 5 As for those who are bent on denying the truth, it makes no difference to them whether you warn them or not, they will not believe. 6 God has sealed their hearts and their ears, and over their eyes there is a covering. They will have a terrible punishment. 7

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
