T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ TaHa. 1 We have not sent down the Koran upon thee for thee to be unprosperous, 2 only as reminder for those who have fear (of disobeying God). 3 A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens, 4 the All-compassionate sat Himself upon the Throne; to Him belongs 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names. 8 And did the news of Moosa reach you? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait – I have seen a fire – perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” 10 When he came near the fire he was called, "Moses, 11 "Verily! I am your Lord! So take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. 13 Verily I am Allah. There is no god beside Me. So serve Me and establish Prayers to remember Me. 14 “The Last Day will surely come – it was close that I hide it from all – in order that every soul may get the reward of its effort.” (He revealed it to His Prophets, so that people may fear and get ready. The exact time is not revealed to the people.) 15 "Therefore, let not the one who believes not therein (i.e. in the Day of Resurrection, Reckoning, Paradise and Hell, etc.), but follows his own lusts, divert you therefrom, lest you perish. 16 What is that in your right band, O Moses?" 17 "It's my staff," he answered; "I lean on it, and fell leaves for my goats with it, and I have other uses for it." 18 He said: "Moses, throw it down." 19 He cast it down, and behold! It was a snake, moving quickly. 20 He said: Take hold of it and fear not; We will restore it to its former state: 21 "Now - as another Sign - place your hand under your arm and it will come out sheer white without harm (or stain). 22 We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to Pharaoh; he has transgressed all bounds." 24
