They ask you regarding the mountains; proclaim, “My Lord will blow them into bits and scatter them.” 105 And leave it as an empty plain, 106 [so that] thou wilt see no curve thereon, and no ruggedness. 107 That Day, everyone will follow [the call of] the Caller [with] no deviation therefrom, and [all] voices will be stilled before the Most Merciful, so you will not hear except a whisper [of footsteps]. 108 On that day no one’s intercession shall benefit except his to whom the Most Gracious has given permission and whose word He has liked. (The Holy Prophets and virtuous people will be given the permission to intercede. Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him – will be the first to intercede.) 109 He knoweth that which is before them and that which is behind them, and they encompass it not with their knowledge. 110 ۞ And faces shall be humbled unto the Living, the Eternal. He will have failed whose burden is of evildoing; 111 And whosoever worketh of the righteous works, and is a believer, he will not fear wrong or begrudging 112 And this is how We revealed it as an Arabic Qur’an, and in different ways gave promises of punishment, that they may fear or it may create some pondering in their hearts. 113 Exalted is Allah, the True King! And hasten thee not with the Qur'an before there is finished to thee the revelation thereof, and say thou: O my Lord! increase me in knowledge! 114 And verily We made a covenant of old with Adam, but he forgot, and We found no constancy in him. 115
