SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving." 66 Say: "That (this Quran) is a great news, 67 (And) you are turning aside from it: 68 I had no knowledge of the High Assembly's dispute. 69 it has only been revealed to me that I am a plain warner." 70 When thy Lord said to the angels, 'See, I am creating a mortal of a clay. 71 So when I have made him complete and breathed into him of My spirit, then fall down making obeisance to him. 72 So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely. 73 except iblis (satan, the father of the jinn), he became too proud, for he was one of the unbelievers. 74 Said (God): "O Iblis, what hindered you from adoring what I created by My own authority? Are you too proud, or too high and mighty?" 75 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am better than he, You created me from fire, and You created him from clay." 76 He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away: 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 He said: "O Lord, give me respite till the day the dead rise from their graves." 79 (Allah) said: "Respite then is granted thee- 80 Until the Day of the time appointed. 81 Said he, 'Now, by Thy glory, I shall pervert them all together, 82 except for those among them who are Your chosen servants." 83 He (Allah) said: 'This is the truth, and I speak the truth: 84 That I shall fill hell with thee and with such of them as follow thee, together. 85 Say (Prophet Muhammad): 'For this I ask of you no wage, and I am not of those who take things upon themselves. 86 This is nothing but an Admonition for all people the world over. 87 you shall before long know its truth." 88
