Hath there come unto thee the story of Ibrahim's honoured guests? 24 When they entered unto him, saying 'Peace!' he said 'Peace! You are a people unknown to me.' 25 Then he turned away privately unto his household, and brought a calf fatted. 26 And he set it before them, saying: Will ye not eat? 27 beginning to be afraid of them. But they said, "Don't be afraid"; and they gave him the good news of a son who would be endowed with knowledge. 28 And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman!" 29 They said, "This is true but your Lord has said, (that you will have a son); He is All-wise and All-knowing". 30 ۞ He said: "What is then your business, O messengers?" 31 They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people, 32 that we may unleash a shower of clay-stones 33 They are transgressors in the presence of your Lord". 34 So We brought the believers out of that they were in. 35 We therefore found just one house over there that was Muslim. 36 And therein We left a sign to those who fear the painful chastisement. 37 And in Musa (Moses) (too, there is a sign). When We sent him to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) with a manifest authority. 38 But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman." 39 So We seized him and his armies, and threw them into the sea, for he was worthy of blame. 40 And in 'Ad (there is also a sign) when We sent against them the barren wind; 41 It spared naught that it reached, but made it (all) as dust. 42 And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, "Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!" 43 But they disobeyed the command of their Lord; so they were destroyed by a thunderbolt, and they could only gape, 44 And they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. 45 And the people of Noah before; surely they were an ungodly people. 46
