The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
