Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

(I swear) by the snorting chargers (of the warriors), whose hoofs strike against the rocks 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 dividing the gathering. 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 He himself bears witness to that. 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves shall be ransacked? 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
