(Muhammad) say, "I am only a warner. The only Lord is God, the Almighty. 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving." 66 Say: “This is a tiding of tremendous import 67 "From which ye do turn away! 68 "I had no knowledge of the chiefs (angels) on high when they were disputing and discussing (about the creation of Adam). 69 had it not been revealed unto me [by God] - to no other end than that I might convey [unto you] a plain warning. 70 When your Lord said to the angels: "I am going to create a man from clay; 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down before him in prostration!" 72 The angels fell down prostrate, every one, 73 Except Iblees; he was arrogant and became among the disbelievers. 74 God said, "Satan, what prevented you from prostrating yourself to what I created with My own Hands? Were you overcome by arrogance, or are you of those who think [only] of themselves as exalted?" 75 He said: I am better than he: me Thou hast created of fire, and him Thou hast created of clay. 76 Said He, 'Then go thou forth hence; thou art accursed. 77 My condemnation will be with you until the Day of Judgment!" 78 He (satan) replied: 'Respite me my Lord till the Day of Resurrection' 79 Answered He: "Verily, so [be it:] thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 80 till the Day of the known time' 81 [Whereupon Iblis] said: "Then [I swear] by Thy very might: I shall most certainly beguile them all into grievous error 82 Other than the chosen ones among Your creatures." 83 [Allah] said, "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say - 84 That I will most certainly fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all. 85 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "No wage do I ask of you for this (the Quran), nor am I one of the Mutakallifun (those who pretend and fabricate things which do not exist). 86 It, (the Quran), is nothing but a reminder to you from the Lord of the Universe. 87 "And you shall certainly know the truth of it after a while. 88
