Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. I swear by the glorious Quran (that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah) 1 Nay; they wondered that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return! 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 Nay, but they [who refuse to believe in resurrection] have been wont to give the lie to this truth whenever it was proffered to them; and so they are in a state of confusion. 5 So did they not see the sky above them – how We have made it and beautified it, and there are no cracks in it? 6 And the earth- We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and produced therein every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs)- 7 as a lesson and a reminder to every penitent worshiper. 8 And We send down water as a blessing from the sky, and grow gardens with it and the grain for harvest, 9 And high date-palms with lush fruit. 10 a provision for the servants, and thereby We revived a land that was dead. Even so is the coming forth. 11 Cried lies before them the people of Noah and the men of Er-Rass, and Thamood, 12 And 'Ad, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the brethren of Lout (Lot), 13 And the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba'; everyone of them denied (their) Messengers, so My Threat took effect. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a second creation. 15
