Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 And those that strike violently, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
