Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 Then turneth it to russet stubble. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
