The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
