Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 until you come to the graves. 2 Nay, in time you will come to understand! 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 Indeed, were you to know the truth with certainty, 5 Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire! 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
