Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 Behold, their brother Lut said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 161 "Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 163 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 164 Do you, in the world, want to have carnal relations with males 165 leaving aside those whom Allah has created for you as your mates. Nay, you are a people that has transgressed all limits." 166 Said they: "Indeed, If thou desist not, O Lot, thou wilt most certainly be expelled [from this township]!" 167 He said: Surely I am of those who utterly abhor your doing; 168 My Lord, deliver me and my family from their wicked deeds." 169 So We saved him and his household, every one, 170 Except an old woman who lingered behind. 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 And rained on them a shower (of Stones). How terrible was the rain (that fell) on those who had been warned! 173 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 175
