۞ When Moses completed the term and set out with his family, he noticed a fire in the direction of Mount Tur. He said to his family: "Stay here, I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you news, or a burning brand from the fire with which you may warm yourself." 29 Then when he was come thereto, he was called from the right side of the valley in the ground blest from the tree: Musa! verily I! I am Allah, the Lord of the worlds; 30 And saying: Cast down you staff. So when he saw it in motion as if it were a serpent, he turned back retreating, and did not return. O Musa! come forward and fear not; surely you are of those who are secure; 31 Put your hand into your bosom; it will come out [shining] white, without blemish; now draw your arm close to your body to calm your fears. These are two credentials from your Lord for Pharaoh and his nobles. Surely, they are a rebellious people." 32 Said [Moses] "O my Sustainer! I have slain one of them, and so I fear that they will slay me. 33 My brother Aaron is more fluent than I am. Send him with me to assist me and express my truthfulness; I am afraid they will reject me". 34 God said: "We shall strengthen your arm through your brother, We shall give you both power, so that they shall not be able to harm you. Set forth with Our signs. You, and those who follow you, will surely prevail." 35 When Moses came to them with Our miracles, they said, "These are only invented magic. We have never heard of such things from our fathers". 36 Moses said: "My Lord knows best who it is that comes with guidance from Him and whose end will be best in the Hereafter: certain it is that the wrong-doers will not prosper." 37 The Pharaoh said: "O nobles, I am not aware of any other lord of yours but myself. So, O Haman, fire some clay (bricks) to build a tower for me that I may mount up (and see) the God of Moses; for I think he is a liar." 38 And he and his hosts were arrogant in the land, without right, and they thought that they would never return to Us. 39 Therefore, We seized him and his hosts, and cast them into the sea. See how was the end of the harmdoers. 40 We had made them leaders, but they called people to the Fire; and on the Day of Judgement they will not be helped. 41 And We set a curse after them in this world; and evil is for them on the Day of Resurrection. 42
