The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the great event comes to pass, 1 no soul will deny its coming. 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 When the earth will be shaken with a terrible shake. 4 And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms, 5 Turned to dust, floating in the air, 6 And ye are classes three. 7 Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 8 And there shall be such as will have lost themselves in evil: oh, how [unhappy] will be they who have lost themselves in evil! 9 Then the foremost, how pre-excellent, 10 These will be those Nearest to Allah: 11 In gardens of bliss [will they dwell] 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 And a few from the later generations. 14 (They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones, 15 Reclining thereon facing each other. 16 Immortal youths will serve them 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of pure drink; 18 which will not cause them any intoxication or illness. 19 And with fruit from that which they choose. 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire to eat; 21 And wide eyed houris 22 like pearls preserved in their shells, 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 But only the saying of: Salam!, Salam! (greetings with peace)! 26 As for the People on the Right, how fortunate shall be the people on the Right! 27 mid thornless lote-trees 28 And clustered plantains, 29 and spreading shade 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 And fruits numberless, 32 That will neither finish, nor ever be stopped. 33 and raised couches 34 Indeed We formed them (the houris and all believing women), 35 and We made them spotless virgins, 36 Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age, 37 For those on the right hand; 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
