Al-Aadeyaat

The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 Surely on that Day will their Lord be fully informed about them. 11
