Al-A 'araaf 13 of 24

Is it not clear to those who inherit the earth in succession from its (previous) possessors, that had We willed, We would have punished them for their sins. And We seal up their hearts so that they hear not? 100 Those cities - We relate to you, [O Muhammad], some of their news. And certainly did their messengers come to them with clear proofs, but they were not to believe in that which they had denied before. Thus does Allah seal over the hearts of the disbelievers. 101 And We found no covenant in most of them; and most of them We found ungodly. 102 After them We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his chiefs. But they willfully rejected them. Consider the end of the evil-doers. 103 Moses said: O Pharaoh! Lo! I am a messenger from the Lord of the Worlds, 104 duty-bound to say nothing about God but the truth, and I have brought you a clear sign from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with me." 105 He said: "If you have brought a sign then display it, if what you say is true." 106 So he cast his staff; and behold, it was a serpent manifest. 107 And he drew out his hand, and behold! it was white (with radiance) for the beholders. 108
