Al-Najm 3 of 3
So did you observe him who turned away? 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
