Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 storming tempestuously 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known extent. 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 For the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
