Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
Almighty Allah's Truth.
