The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the Occurrence occurs, 1 Then none will be able to deny its occurrence. 2 The event will be abasing some, and exalting some. 3 When the earth shall be shaken with a (severe) shaking, 4 And the mountains shall be made to crumble with (an awful) crumbling, 5 and become a dust, scattered, 6 [on that Day] you shall be divided into three groups. 7 Then (as to) the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 8 And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 9 But the foremost shall be [they who in life were] the foremost [in faith and good works]: 10 Those are the ones brought near [to Allah] 11 In gardens of bliss [will they dwell] 12 A numerous company from among the first, 13 and a lesser number from the later generations. 14 They will recline on jewelled couches 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 There will circulate among them young boys made eternal 17 with goblets, and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 Their heads shall not ache with it, nor shall they lose their senses. 19 and with fruit of any kind that they may choose, 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire to eat; 21 and wide-eyed houris 22 like hidden pearls, 23 As recompense for all they had done. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 Except the saying, “Peace, peace.” 26 Those on the Right, how fortunate are those on the Right! 27 Among thorn-less lote-trees. 28 and banana trees, 29 Lengthened shadows, 30 And water flowing constantly, 31 And fruits numberless, 32 Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, 33 And raised couches. 34 Verily We! We have created those maidens by a creation. 35 having resurrected them as virgins, 36 Loving, of equal age. 37 For the fellows on the right hand. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
