These (people of the right hand) consist of many from the ancient 39 and a multitude of the later people. 40 And those on the Left Hand Who will be those on the Left Hand? 41 [They will find themselves] in the midst of scorching winds, and burning despair, 42 and the shadows of black smoke 43 [shadows] neither cooling nor soothing. 44 They were endowed with good things 45 But persisted in that greater sin, 46 and constantly said: 'What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we then be restored to life? 47 We and our fathers of old? 48 Say: "Indeed, the earlier and the later generations 49 "All will surely be gathered together for appointed Meeting of a known Day. 50 Then indeed you, the astray, the deniers - 51 shall eat the fruit of the tree of Zaqqum, 52 and you shall fill therewith your bellies 53 and shall drink boiling water on top of that. 54 Lapping it up like female camels raging of thirst with disease." 55 This is their reception on the Day of Justice. 56 We have created you, so why do you not believe? 57 Then tell Me (about) the human semen that you emit. 58 Create him ye, or are We the Creator? 59 We have decreed among you Death; We shall not be outstripped; 60 To transfigure you and create you in (forms) that you know not. 61 And you have already known the first creation, so will you not remember? 62 Just ponder over what you sow: 63 Do you yourselves sow it, or are We the Sowers? 64 If We willed, We could make it [dry] debris, and you would remain in wonder, 65 (Saying:) 'We are laden with debts! 66 nay, we are deprived [altogether]." 67 Have you thought about the water you drink? 68 Is it you who caused it to descend from the cloud, or is it We Who cause it to descend? 69 If We willed We verily could make it bitter. Why then, give ye not thanks? 70 Have ye observed the fire which ye strike out; 71 Is it you who have brought into being the tree that serves as its fuel - or are We the cause of its coming into being? 72 We have made it as a reminder of hell and as a utility for travellers in the jungle. 73 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Supreme. 74

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
