Nay! By the moon 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 And the dawn when it shineth forth, 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 A warning to mortals, 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Except those on the right side. 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 'What caused you to be thrust into the Scorching (Fire)' 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
True are the words of God the Almighty.
