Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 noble, writers 11 They know whatever you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
