The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He is created from a water dripping, 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
