'Lord, open my breast,' said Moses, 25 And ease for me my task 26 And loose the knot from my tongue, 27 that they may understand my speech. 28 And appoint for me a minister from my family - 29 Let it be my brother Aaron 30 Strengthen me through him 31 And share my task, 32 “In order that we may profusely proclaim Your Purity.” 33 "And remember Thee without stint: 34 Verily Thou! Thou art of us ever a Beholder. 35 Said He, 'Thou art granted, Moses, thy petition. 36 And indeed, another time, already We have shown thee favour, 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 saying: "Put him in the box and cast it into the river. The river will cast him on to the bank, and he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his." I lavished My Love on you, and to be formed in My Sight. 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 I have chosen you for Myself. 41 Go thou and thy brother with My signs, and slacken not in remembrance of Mine. 42 Go ye twain unto Fir'awn, verily he hath waxen exorbitant, 43 Both of you must speak with him in a gentle manner so that perhaps he may come to himself or have fear (of God)." 44 The two [brothers] said: "O our Sustainer! Verily, we fear lest he act hastily with regard to us, or lest he [continue to] transgress all bounds of equity." 45 [Allah] said, "Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see. 46 "So go ye both to him, and say, 'Verily we are messengers sent by thy Lord: Send forth, therefore, the Children of Israel with us, and afflict them not: with a Sign, indeed, have we come from thy Lord! and peace to all who follow guidance! 47 Lo! it hath been revealed unto us that the doom will be for him who denieth and turneth away. 48 He said: who is the Lord of you twain, O Musa! 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave to everything its creation, then guided it (to its goal). 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 [Musa (Moses)] said: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord, in a Record. My Lord is neither unaware nor He forgets, " 52 He it is Who spread the earth for you; and made in it paths for you, and sent down water from the sky, and then through it We brought forth many species of diverse plants. 53 Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. 54
