The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta-Sin-Mim. 1 These are the verses of the clear Book. 2 Perchance thou consumest thyself that they are not believers. 3 Had We so willed, We could have sent down unto them a message from the skies, so that their necks would [be forced to] bow down before it in humility. 4 But never fresh remembrance comes to them from the All-merciful, except they turn away from it. 5 thus, indeed, have they given the lie (to this message as well). But [in time] they will come to understand what it was that they were wont to deride! 6 Have they, then, never considered the earth - how much of every noble kind [of life] We have caused to grow thereon? 7 Verily there are signs in this; yet many of them do not believe. 8 Your Lord is surely mighty and merciful. 9
